What we believe about ourselves becomes our reality. If we struggle with negative thoughts that undermine our outlook or belief in ourselves, we are vulnerable to creating self fulfilling prophecies that are not connected to what we truly desire. In essence, if you believe you cannot do something, you limit yourself before you even begin. Negative thinking can have a tremendous impact on emotional and psychological well being.
Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to overcome negative thinking. There are a variety of ways to use affirmations such as journaling, mobile apps and visualization. Another way to begin the practice of using affirmations is through the use of an oracle deck.

Oracle decks usually have a theme and each card has a specific message. Pull a card daily to get an affirmation or mantra to guide your day. Incorporate the message into your daily routine and see how it affects your well being. Connecting and utilizing affirmations helps in creating the intentions we want to see fulfilled in our lives.
Oracle decks can also be used as a way to get insight into questions and can be used to practice intentional meditations or rituals. They can also strengthen intuition by increasing self awareness and focus.
